Milk, juices and sodas were available around the clock as well as a full Keurig coffee & tea bar.
The fridge was stocked each morning with sliced ham and summer sausage, cheese, Greek and regular yogurt, fruit cups, fresh sliced berries, boiled eggs, and applesauce. The upscale continental breakfast included a wide variety of cold cereal and oatmeal toppings (dried dates, pecans, walnuts, sliced almonds), jams, fresh fruit and pastries. Bottled waters graced our nightstand, but there was a fresh supply in the hallway should we wish for more.

The large screen TV in our room had Netflix and Hulu already connected. We requested an iron and ironing board to prepare for a wedding, and they were already waiting when we arrived.
Bathroom was well-stocked with spa-grade hair & body products, thick towels and a hair dryer. Sleep came easy on a memory foam mattress, feather pillows and down comforter. Our closet had plenty of hooks, a whole tower of storage drawers and a mini-fridge. Each room was thoughfully furnished with period-piece chairs, tables and chests and the walls studded with unique art. David & Amy apparently spent 2 years remodeling the place, and it shows! It’s an old-house feel with modern conveniences tastefully woven in. The Holly & Ivy Inn is stylish and cozy retreat. I have staid at many luxury B&Bs around the world and enjoyed them all, but I keep coming back here because there is no better home away from home in this area than the Holly and Ivy Inn! 🏴 Flag as inappropriate What a great place to come home to after a day of work or visiting family or sites in the area! As a dog lover who lost her own buddy to old age recently, I am so happy to see their dogs play in the fenced yard. The hosts clearly care about details which make life easier and are very good at keeping all living things - including live plants around the house -healthy and happy!ĭavid exlicitly invites guests to enjoy the living room as theirs, so they gather in front of the great fireplace, grab a read from the library or relax and enjoy take out supper from one of the local eateries on the porch. Guests look well rested when they come into the dining room for the well selected continental breakfast offerings (which often are complemented with yummy treats like their baked from scratch date nut or banana bread). It is both tastefully decorated and super comfortable! The beds, covered in highest quality soft cotten sheets and duvet, make you feel like you slept on a cloud. Less than a year ago they opened the home as an inn after carefully restoring the house. They always find time to answer questions or attend to a need. David and Amy are natural hosts with a welcoming smile.
